CDC’s National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network

The National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network (Tracking Network) is a system of integrated health, exposure, and hazard information and data from a variety of national, state, and city sources.

On the Tracking Network(https://ephtracking.cdc.gov/showAbout.action), you can view maps, tables, and charts with data about:

  • some chronic diseases and conditions
  • the area where you live

You can also:

The environment plays an important role in human health, and there is an opportunity for technology applications to use data from the Tracking Network to spur innovation and inform the public. That’s why CDC is crowdsourcing innovators to use the Tracking Network and its API (Application Program Interface) to create easy-to-use software applications that will track environmental and/or health data indicators, monitor trends, provide access to data, educate the public, identify at-risk populations, and/or expose potential health hazards.
