Developing state-specific Act Early websites for parents, primary care providers, and/or other partners.

Examples

• The University of Wyoming Act Early website includes checklists, frequently asked questions, and pages for parents and professionals.
• The Waisman Center and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Act Early website provides information about what to do and whom to call in Wisconsin regarding a developmental concern; links to free, Wisconsin-customized materials in English and Spanish; and community resources for families who have a child with a developmental delay or disability. The website is available in English and Spanish.
• The Utah Department of Health website includes information for parents and professionals. The website is available in English and Spanish.
• The Massachusetts Act Early website includes helpful information for parents, educators, and healthcare providers; links to “Learn the Signs. Act Early.” materials and website; direct links to “Learn the Signs. Act Early.” materials that have been translated into 21 languages; and state-specific diagnostic services, including clinic and referral information. The website also includes the “Considering Culture in Autism Screening” kit, which was developed by the Massachusetts state team for pediatric clinicians and community health center providers to use when conducting autism screening with children from families whose primary language is not English.
• The Minnesota Act Early website provides information on state-specific early intervention programs and services; links to “Learn the Signs. Act Early.” materials and website; direct links to “Learn the Signs. Act Early.” materials that have been translated to Somali and Hmong; and an FAQ section that answers common questions regarding developmental delays, disabilities, screening, and monitoring.
