\"VirtualThe next Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee (HICPAC) <\/span><\/span>meeting<\/span><\/span><\/a> is scheduled for <\/span><\/span>August 22,\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong>2024, 9 a.m. \u2013 3:15 p.m. ET<\/strong>. The meeting will be virtual and\u00a0streamed live on YouTube. <\/span>HICPAC meetings are<\/span> open to the public and r<\/span>egistration is not <\/span>required<\/span> to watch <\/span>the m<\/span>eeting webcasts. <\/span>A<\/span> link to the meeting webcast will be posted on the <\/span><\/span>upcoming meeting page<\/span><\/span><\/a> shortly before the meeting.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The primary purpose of HICPAC meetings is to review and discuss emerging issues, research, and data related to infection prevention and control in healthcare settings. <\/span>Typical <\/span>meeting <\/span>agenda items <\/span>include <\/span>discussion<\/span> of new or revised recommendations, evaluation of recent research findings, and review of data on <\/span>h<\/span>ealthcare-<\/span>a<\/span>ssociated <\/span>i<\/span>nfections (HAIs)<\/span> and anti<\/span>microbial<\/span> resistance.<\/span><\/p>\n
