Wendy received a Bachelor’s Degree in Bacteriology from the University of California at Berkeley. She became a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist and worked as a clinical microbiologist for 12 years. She received her Masters of Public Health in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from California State University at San Diego. Wendy has been working as an Infection Preventionist for 23 years and is Board Certified in Infection Control. She is currently the Director of Infection Prevention at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. In 2007 her study on Proper Disinfection of Needleless Vascular Access Ports was published in the Journal of Vascular Access. She is currently the Clinical Lead for CAUTI Prevention for the Dignity Health CMS Healthcare Engagement Network.
