Dr. Amit Chitnis received his MD from the University Of California, San Diego School of Medicine, and received his MPH from the Mailman School of Public Health of Columbia University. Dr. Chitnis completed an internship in internal medicine at New York University and finished his residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After residency, Dr. Chitnis worked as a hospitalist in Madison, Wisconsin, and also worked as a physician epidemiologist for the Wisconsin Division of Public Health. Currently, Dr. Chitnis is a first year Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, Surveillance Branch.
