Mike Humphrys has been an ORISE research fellow in the Enteric Diseases Laboratory Branch for 1 year. He received his Masters degree in 2008 from Florida State University and his Bachelors degree in 2004 from Georgia Tech. Mike has been involved in laboratory testing for several multi-state outbreaks including both 2009 outbreaks of Salmonella Typhimurium in Peanut Butter and E. coli O157 in cookie dough. When not engaged in outbreak laboratory duties, Mike spends his time working on international public health microbiology projects related to enteric disease.
