A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Kis Robertson graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1999 with a BS in biology. In 2003, she received her DVM from Tuskegee University, and in 2008 she graduated with an MPH from the University of Minnesota. After being assigned to USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) for 5 years as a Commission Corps officer in the U.S. Public Health Service, she transferred to the CDC. She currently works as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Disease (NCZEID), assigned to the Rabies Team.
