The three-year averages are needed to produce a reliable estimate for the level of detail on Hispanic and Asian subgroups.<\/p>\n<p>The data are presented in a table and chart format for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>selected diseases and conditions<\/li>\n<li>mental health<\/li>\n<li>health status<\/li>\n<li>difficulties in functioning<\/li>\n<li>health behaviors<\/li>\n<li>health insurance coverage<\/li>\n<li>cost-related problems accessing healthcare<\/li>\n<li>health care use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Users can view data for the selected health topics by single race, multiple races, race combined with Hispanic or Latino origin, or Asian and Hispanic detailed groups.<\/p>\n<p>This level of detail is not available in the NHIS\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wwwn.cdc.gov\/NHISDataQueryTool\/SHS_adult\/index.html\">Annual Interactive Summary Health Statistics for Adults<\/a>, which contains single-year estimates.<\/p>\n<p>NHIS is the principal source of information on the health of the civilian noninstitutionalized population of the United States.
