This includes 4.4% (8.6 million) covered by private health insurance plans obtained through the Health Insurance Marketplace or state-based exchanges.<\/li>\n<li>The percentage of persons under age 65 with private health insurance enrolled in a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) increased, from 39.4% in 2016 to 43.2% in the first 9 months of 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new NCHS report provides updated health\u00a0insurance estimates from selected\u00a0states using 2017 National Health Interview Survey data.
