    Dear Dr. Wolfe,

I am writing to ask you to please vote against the nomination of Tedros Adhanom (Tedros) to head the World Health Organization (WHO).

Tedros has covered several cholera epidemics in Ethiopia and has no relevant experience for the job other than cooking health indicators. He is responsible not only for passively denying health care for many millions of Ethiopians but also actively causing them harm. As a member of the ruling thugs in Ethiopia, he participated in killings, disappearances and sufferings of thousands of human rights activists. He is responsible for egregious human rights and health rights violations against Ethiopian citizens. Tedros Adhanom’s tenure as head of the Ministry of Health was fraught with mismanagement and gross incompetence particularly as it relates to the monies (USD 1,306,035,989) granted from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM). The audit by the Office of the Inspector General into the USD 1,306,035,989 allocated to Ethiopia found: 1) misappropriation of funds and use of donor funds for unsound and politically motivated programs, 2) substandard quality of constructed health facilities and 3) ineligible expenditures. It was the recommendation of the OIG that the Ethiopian government should refund USD 7,026,929 to the Global Fund. To this day, no action has been taken by the Ethiopian government to refund the money.

Tedros is not the right person to lead the WHO. Therefore, I ask you to oppose his nomination at the next director general of the W.H.O. meeting to be held at the end of the month.

    Thank you,
    XXXXXXX, M.D., M.P.H.
