Adam L. Hersh, MD, PhD

Adam L. Hersh, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Utah. He completed medical school at Dartmouth Medical School. He completed training in pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases at the University of California, San Francisco. His research interests focus on strategies to reduce antibiotic overuse including antimicrobial stewardship. Dr. Hersh collaborated with Dr. Lauri Hicks, Medical Director of the CDC’s Get Smart: Know When Antibiotics Work, Dr. Mary Anne Jackson and the AAP Committee on Infectious Diseases to author “Principles of Judicious Antibiotic Prescribing for Upper Respiratory Tract Infectious in Pediatrics.”
