
Ann Marie Pettis, RN, BSN, CIC
Ann Marie Pettis, RN, BSN, CIC, is director of Infection Prevention at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York, and has been an infection preventionist for more than 30 years. Pettis has published a variety of infection prevention articles in peer reviewed journals and trade publications and has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally. She has served as president of Western New York Infection Control Organization and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Finger Lakes Chapter. In 2006, she received an APIC Chapter Leadership Award. Presently, she is chair of the APIC Communications Committee and she has also served on the APIC Nominating and Awards Committee. Most recently she was appointed to the APIC Annual Conference Planning Committee. Her proudest personal accomplishment has been raising four children aged 14-27.
