Martin Evans, MD

Dr. Evans is the Director of the VHA MRSA/MDRO Program and an Infectious Diseases physician. He is currently a Professor of Infectious Diseases at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine and is based in Lexington. He earned his medical degree from The University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1976, and was a Fellow in Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Evans has received NIH R01 funding for his research on MRSA. He is a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, and has served as a reviewer for “Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy”, “Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology”, and “Clinical Infectious Diseases”.
