Jay Gee, PhD

Jay Gee standing in front of a sign for a hotel in RussiaJay Gee, Ph.D. is a Research Biologist in the Bacterial Special Pathogens Branch (proposed), Division of High-Consequence Pathogens and Pathology (proposed), National Center for Zoonotic and Emerging Infectious Diseases (proposed) where he researches bacterial genetics.

He earned his B.S. in Microbiology from Mississippi State University and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has previously held research positions at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and at L’Institut de Génétique Moléculaire de Montpellier (The Institute of Molecular Genetics of Montpellier) in France.

He grew up in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi.
